How to Regrow Lashes. Trichologist View.

A trichologist is a specialist who focuses on trichology — the study of diseases or problems related to the hair and scalp, as well as their treatments.

It could be any number of underlying causes when it comes to broken, skimpy lashes. Penny James—IAT-certified trichologist, talks about the “why” and the “how” when it comes to identifying the issue and getting lashes back into shape.

Gentle Makeup Removal
Aggressive makeup removal can seriously damage lashes (and their subsequent growth) if people are not careful. Instead of wreaking havoc on the lash line with makeup remover and a cotton round, a cleansing balm is a better optio. It gently melts mascara and other stubborn makeup away to help preserve lashes.

Lash Serums
Many lash serums have a cult following for a reason: They can actually work. The formulas that are ultra-rich in biotin can noticeably improve a lash situation in as little as a few weeks.

Some people have a compulsive behavior of pulling out their lashes intentionally—they may not even realize they’re consciously doing it— ¡and it is called trichotillomania, an impulse control disorder. Many of us have nervous or stress-related habits, and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about, a therapist  can help to work through it.

Biotin Supplements
Biotin has been claimed to be a key supplement when it comes to nail and hair health, and it's been said to potentially help with the strength and growth of eyelashes as well. T
